Subject: Corrigendum to the Information Bulletin of UGC-NET December 2026 Examination - reg.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reviewed the Information Bulletin issued for the UGC-NET December 2026 Examination and has made certain amendments, corrections and clarifications to its provisions, with a view to ensuring greater clarity, consistency and transparency for candidates.

Accordingly, a consolidated corrigendum containing the amendments and clarifications to the existing Information Bulletin is hereby issued. The details of the existing provisions and the corresponding revised provisions are provided in the Comparative Statement enclosed as Annexure-A to this Public Notice.
Further, the Updated Information Bulletin for UGC-NET December 2026, incorporating the aforesaid amendments and clarifications, is also being issued and enclosed as Annexure-B for the information and guidance of all concerned.
Candidates are advised to carefully go through the Comparative Statement (Annexure-A) and the Updated Information Bulletin (Annexure-B) before filling in their application forms and appearing in the examination.
The amendments and clarifications contained in Annexure-A shall form an integral part of the Information Bulletin for UGC-NET December 2026. In the event of any inconsistency between the earlier Information Bulletin and the Updated Information Bulletin, the provisions of the Updated Information Bulletin shall prevail.
All other terms and conditions, instructions and provisions of the Information Bulletin, which have not been amended through this corrigendum, shall remain unchanged.

Consolidated Comparative Statement of Amendments and Clarifications to the Information Bulletin of UGC-NET December 2026

Subject: Opening of the online registration portal for submission of Online Application Form for UGC-NET December 2026 examination – reg.

The NTA has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC-NET, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for (i) ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, (ii)’appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and (iii)’admission to Ph.D. only’ in Indian universities and colleges.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC-NET December 2026 for 87 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, as per Schedule given in table below:

Important Instructions:

1. Candidates can apply for UGC-NET December 2026 through the “Online” mode only through the website

https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in

2. Submission of the Online Application Form may be done by accessing the NTA website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/. The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.

3. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.

4. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Information Bulletin available on the NTA website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.

5. Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians only and accessible, as all information/communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only.

6. In case candidate faces difficulty in applying for UGC-NET December 2026, please contact on 011 40759000 / 011 69227700 or e-mail at ugcnet@nta.ac.in for any clarification related to the UGC-NET December 2026.

7. Candidates must fill in their particulars carefully, as no changes will be allowed after the final submission of the Application Form. As far as possible, candidates are advised to use Aadhaar verification while completing the Application Form, as this will facilitate the registration and examination process, particularly at the examination centres, as also the processing of their JRF.

8. Application form registration has been enabled through the single sign on service-Meri Pehchan of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, for the convenience of the applicants.

9. Dates mentioned above are tentative, and applicants will be informed in case there is any change due to any reason.

यूजीसी नेट दिसंबर में, 85 विषयों में होगी परीक्षा, अक्टूबर में आवेदन
विदेशी भाषाओं के साथ मैथिली और संथाली भी शामिल

यू यूजीसी नेट दिसंबर 2026 की पराक्षा 31 दिसंबर से शुरू होकर जनवरी-2027 के पहले सप्ताह तक होगी। राष्ट्रीय परीक्षा एजेंसी (एनटीए) परीक्षा आयोजित करेगी। परीक्षा पूरी तरह कंप्यूटर आधारित टेस्ट (सीबीटी) मोड में होगी। इसमें 85 विषय शामिल किए जाने की संभावना है। दिसंबर चक्र के लिए आवेदन प्रक्रिया अक्टूबर के आसपास शुरू हो सकती है। परीक्षा जूनियर रिसर्च फेलोशिप (जेआरएफ), सहायक प्रोफेसर की पात्रता और विभिन्न विश्वविद्यालयों में पीएचडी प्रवेश के लिए आयोजित की जाती है। परीक्षा में अंग्रेजी, हिंदी और संस्कृत के साथ विदेशी भाषाएं भी शामिल हैं। इनमें स्पेनिश, रूसी, चीनी, जापानी और जर्मन हैं। डोगरी, मैथिली, मणिपुरी और संथाली जैसी क्षेत्रीय भाषाएं भी शामिल हैं। आवेदन के लिए मेरी पहचान सेवा के जरिए सिंगल साइन-ऑन की सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई गई है। आवेदन शुल्क सामान्य श्रेणी के लिए 1150 रुपए होगा। ओबीसी-एनसीएल और ईडब्ल्यूएस के लिए 600 रुपए रहने की उम्मीद है।

यूजीसी नेट डिसेंबर 2026 ची परीक्षा 31 डिसेंबर ते जानेवारी 2027 च्या पहिल्या आठवड्यापर्यंत कॉम्प्युटर आधारित टेस्ट (CBT) मोडमध्ये होईल.
85 विषयांमध्ये परीक्षा होणार आहे, अक्टोबरमध्ये अर्ज प्रक्रिया सुरू होईल.

 Subject: Advance Intimation for Allotment of Examination City to the Applicants of UGC-NET June 2026-reg.

In pursuance of the NTA Public Notice dated 06 June 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the UGC-NET June 2026 at different location throughout the country on 22 June 2026, 23 June 2026, 24 June 2026, 25 June 2026, 29 June 2026 & 30 June 2026.
The candidates are required to check/download their Examination City Intimation slip for UGC-NET June 2026 examination (using the login credentials) from the website:

https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in

w.e.f. 10 June 2026.

The Candidates may please note that this is NOT the Admit Card for UGC-NET June 2026 examination. This is advance information for the allotment of the city where the Examination Centre will be located, to facilitate the candidates.
The Admit Card of UGC-NET June 2026 shall be issued later.

Subject: Subject-wise Schedule of UGC-NET June 2026 examination – reg.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the UGC-NET June 2026 examination in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from 22 June 2026 to 30 June 2026.

The Subject wise schedule of the examination is given at Annexure-I.

The notification regarding intimation of City of Exam Centre will be displayed on the NTA website 08 to 10 days prior to the examination.
