Subject: Challenge of Provisional Answer Keys for UGC-NET June 2026 (reg.).
- The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the UGC-NET June 2026 examination from 22 to 30 June 2026 across 87 subjects, for the award of Junior Research Fellowship, eligibility for Assistant Professor, and admission to Ph.D. programmes.
- NTA is uploading the provisional answer keys and inviting challenges for 84 subjects. In respect of the three remaining subjects, namely English, Commerce and Sociology, a committee was constituted to look into the complaints received regarding various types of errors in the question papers. Based on the recommendations of this committee, a public notice with regard to these 3 subjects is being issued separately, later today.
- Candidates may view the provisional answer keys and their recorded responses on the official website, and may raise challenges against any question, as per the details below:

- Key terms candidates should note
➤ Challenges may be submitted only through the online mode, during the stipulated window, along with the requisite fee. Challenges submitted through any other mode (email, fax, letter, etc.) or without the fee will not be accepted.
➤ If a challenge is accepted by the subject experts, the resulting correction will be applied uniformly to all candidates of that subject. Candidates therefore do not need to raise the same challenge more than once.
➤ The processing fee of Rs. 200 per question challenged will be refunded in full for every challenge that is accepted by the expert panel.
➤ The answer key finalised after consideration of challenges will be treated as final. No challenge or grievance with regard to the answer keys will be entertained after the closure of the challenge window or after declaration of result.
- Challenge window and fee payment
The challenge window will be open from 16 August 2026 to 18 August 2026 (up to 11:59 P.M.). The payment of the processing fee may be made through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking up to 18 August 2026 (11:59 P.M.). No challenge will be entertained without receipt of the processing fee. Challenges will be accepted only through the official website during the challenge window.

Please review the details carefully and use the official portal to submit challenges from 16 to 18 August 2026, up to 11:00 PM.

The provisional answer keys for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination will be published on the official website this week, along with the provisional answer keys for the CSIR-NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) & AICE (PhD) 2026 examinations.
Candidates will be able to view the provisional answer keys and raise challenges within the notified window. Detailed instructions will be provided at the time of publication.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website and to rely only on official communications from NTA.
